More girls to delay sex

Awareness of the importance of a healthy sexual relationship and secure suspected to be the reason many girls in the United States to postpone having sex with their partner. Latest survey shows is that more teenagers in the country are still virgin.


This was revealed from the results of a survey published The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics, based on interviews conducted in 2006-2008 to 13 500 men and women aged 15-44 years.


Surveys showed, not less than 27 percent of men aged 15-24 years had never been sexual contact, either through oral, vaginal, or anal, with others. In women the number reached 29 percent, up from a year earlier studies that only 22 percent.


The number of people who are still a virgin girl and most numerous in the age group 15-19 years. Meanwhile, people from the age group 25-44 years were surveyed admitted that he had sexual intercourse.


Approximately 98 percent women and 97 percent of men claimed to have vaginal intercourse, 89 percent of women and 90 percent of men had oral sex with heterosexual couples, and 36 percent women and 44 percent of men through anal sex with heterosexual couples.
Almost the same percentage was also seen in men and women, whether heterosexual or homosexual identified. However, women are three times more likely than men to be bisexual.


Women aged 15-44 years were twice as high in number than men who have sex with same-sex. It is estimated that, 12.5 percent of women had sex with same sex at least once, compared with men who just 5.2 percent.
According to Anjani Chandra, health researchers who conduct this research, homosexual tendencies in women is not only visible on the student. "In the group of educated or not, the tendency was the same," he said.
